My New Blog

Coming up for air !!
June 24th, 2008 12:30 PM

Well,  its been a while since my last entry, but its not for lack of things to say but lack of time to say them.  We have been working hard trying to stay on top of all the activity in this crazy market.  While the foreclosures are keeping us busy we are much happier seeing purchases and the american dream being realized.

We are hoping that we are starting to see the market find its way back but I think its going to be a long ride.  We are here for the duration and no matter how long it takes we will be doing our part to keep the appraisals going out in an accurate but timely manner.

Here's to better times ahead !!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
December 28th, 2007 6:12 PM

It is with a mixture of emotions that we close out 2007.  While it wasn't all bad, there is no question that we would be happier closing out the year with the mortgage industry prospering.

On the up side, we are all beginning a new year and with that we bring new hopes and dreams for the future.

We at All Residential Appraising wish for all of our old customers, current customers and the many new customers we hope to have a very prosperous and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

We look forward to serving you in 2008 !!

Mortgage Industry Craziness
December 13th, 2007 5:43 PM

With the mortgage industry literally changing ever day, appraisers have to stay on top of those changes or appraisals will cause even more changes.

Choosing an appraiser becomes even more important during these times.  An appraiser who markets themselves all over the state and even crossing state lines simply cannot stay in touch with all the changes in the communities across the regions.  By contrast, choosing an appraiser who limits their coverage area to their home counties helps to insure that the appraisal you get will be accurate and complete.

Ask questions and choose your residential appraiser carefully.

Happy Halloween
November 1st, 2007 4:19 PM

November 1, 2007

Good Afternoon and a Happy Belated Halloween.  While I managed to pass out a hoard of candy without taking one bite (really !!) and the night ended uneventful, our industry continues to be plagued with one scary story after another.  Locally we are all watching the unfolding story of the Dream Homes fiasco.  Homeowners are scrambling to make huge mortgage payments that they weren't anticipating and many will fall the way of foreclosure before this story ends.  A recent New York Times article states that as of the end of next year, there will be fewer home owners than 8 years ago.  Now THAT'S a scary story.  The American dream has always been homeownership, now the reality is a living nightmare.

On a better note commercial banks responded to the Federal Reserve's move by announcing a quarter-point cut to 7.5 percent in their prime lending rate.

Here's to a brighter tomorrow !
